Hello. Right now I have a 5 and a 10 gallon tank. i would like to keep my male and two female killifish (A.australe) in the 5 gallon and get some celestial pearl danios for the 10 gallon. Or would it be better the other way? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
All my tanks are well planted. I do have a bristlenose pleco in the 10 gallon though. Is that going to be a problem for the CPDs?

I think a 08 gallon or 10-12 gallon would be helpful for you.

I’d say put the killies in the 10 and the celestial pearl danios in the 5, because the latter are very tiny.

I applaud you for choosing fish the right size for your tanks. Lots and lots of people would try to keep 5 oscars in the 10-gallon tank, or 6 goldfish in the 5-gallon. These are disasters waiting to happen.

Yes, the 5gal would be better for the killies:).

  3. TetraLinz says:

The celestial pearls will be ideal for the 10gal, but I think you should get another tank altogether for the killis … Possibly a 10-20gal. Wouldn’t really have any fish in less than a 10gal, to be honest.

  4. Dannyo says:

I think that it’s perfectly ok, because killies are often recommended for small aquariums like that. The number of celestial danios in a ten gallon would be 10-12, i’d do seven or eight celestial danios with three or four oto catfish for the algae

    Battle Tank.

The killis will be fine in the five gallon.
And your CPD’s will be all “laaaaa” and happy in the 10, especially if its planted.
