Looks like it could be a checkerboard barb that has not developed its’ proper coloration yet. Sorry I couldn’t be more certain.

I can’t see it that great in the video, but does it look like the fish in this link?

From the video it looked like some sort of tetra.

It’s cute! it looks like some sort of barb to me.

it looks kindof like a rasbora to me. google some rasbora pics.

I think I would be leaning towards Barb fry over Tetra too. Possibly a Checker Barb as someone else mentioned, or I would put my money on a Spanner Barb:

If so, it should get around the 6″ mark and be in a shoal! The black markings look similar but not quite identical.

The easiest way to find out of course is let it mature and see what happens! If you can get a clearer photo with a good camera with a macro lens that would make it easier.

Does it have an adipose fin (a small second dorsal fin)? If so, it’s a member of the characin family and would actually rule out barbs/rasboras etc. Cyprinids (barbs etc) do not have an adipose fin.

Looking at that little fish tells me that it’s not a lampeye and it’s not a checkerboard barb and not exactly a spanner barb because it has the upright dorsal fin of a spanner barb but does not show a black stripe near it’s caudal fin.

It could be crossed by a spanner barb and a clown barb but I would put my money that it’s a Clown Barb[Puntius Everetti]
