They can be kept in large groups. I can’t give you a number because I don’t know how big of a tank you are wanting to put them in. Killifish keepers often refer to them being like egg laying guppies. They don’t live for more than 2 years, they grow to around 2 1/2″, and if you are having success with the neons and discus, then I say go ahead and get some.

    Fundulopanchax gardneri are best kept as a single species although they should be okay with the fish you mention.
    If kept alone , they are breedable and fascinating.
    The eggs are laid on plants or spawning mops and take around 20 to 60 days to hatch.
